If I were able to vote in today's election, I would cast my vote for Larry Aceves, simply because I feel he is the candidate with the most experience. In addition, I really like his platform and what he plans to do in regards to education and healthcare for children.
I personally will vote for Larry Aceves for CA State Superintendent this year in the June Primary Election. I chose Larry Aceves because of his stances on issues that are affecting California residents everyday. For example, the funding for schools everywhere in California. He believes that all schools should receive equal funding whether they are poor or wealthy, and I agree because I think that the poorer schools are now being kicked to the curb because people think that they aren’t providing the numbers they need to push students. But if funding is cut, then poorer schools will stand no chance to improve which leaves them once again at the bottom. I also support his plan for accountability within schools, I think that all teachers should be held accountable for their students performance and I think that this plan will make it so that teachers care more for how well their students do. I also support Aceves because of the many endorsements he has, his list of supporters goes on and on and that clearly shows how effective he is and how much people believe in him.
If I could vote in the June Primary Election I would cast my ballot for Larry Aceves for the job of California State Superintendent. I agree with his idea of being need-blind in the area of giving money to schools. However, I want to know where that money will come from and/or where money will be cut from in order for money to given to schools. I also agree with his commitment to improving the health care children can receive. My vote goes to Larry Aceves.
I would vote for Larry Aceves as California State Superintendent. I believe he is a strong advocate of education. As a student, I think that schools need to be updated with the necessary resources to teach students about a certain topic. I think he is responsbile and has a great deal of experience that makes him qualified to be California's superintendent. Also, reducing mandates and giving more funds to schools (I believe) will be beneficial to everyone.
I would vote for Larry Aceves because of his views on education. In California, our education system is not that great, but Aceves guarantees that it will be better. Regarding educators,he says that we should focus on the student achievements rather than placing mandates on the teachers. Also, the funding for the schools also sticks out to me, because it says that there should be equal funding for all schools because they should be equally treated.
This election day I will be voting for Larry Aceves. I really like his out look on key points. His outlook on education in my opinion is heading in the right direction. I also will vote for him because he obviously has more experience that the other candidates.
If I could vote in the elections today, I would vote for Aceves because one of the focuses that the group talked about was education, which for me is an important issue to talk about. I'm not sure how it would be funded, but I like that he is for education, which gives him my vote.
Today, I voted for Larry Aceves. I would be most comfortable with Aceves serving as California's Superintendent of Public Instruction because he has over thirty years of experience under his belt. He has served in positions of public education across the board from principal to teacher, so I am confident that he would be able best serve the needs of educators so that they can best serve their students. He has also worked in central California and southern California so he has seen what the public education is like in all types of areas in California. Aceves is also supported by a vass number of educators. This is a really great indicator for me because this means he is well known and supported by the very people who know the california education system the best. My only qualm the Aceves is the question of how he will make all of his goals happen and where he will get the funding to give all schools equal funding. He certainly has ambitious goals, but I will vote for him nevertheless because he has the experience and the insight into the role of an educator and his vision for where he wants to take public education in California is one that matches my ideals.
My vote would go for Aceves! He has more than enough experience in working with the school districts in California. Not only has be been a teacher, but he has also served as a principal ans superintendent. Over the 30 years he has been involved in holding education positions he has gained exposure and an in depth understanding of what students really need. I support his demand for funding schools equally across the board as well as holding teachers accountable for a students education. Supplying classrooms with new technology and computers with internet access is key to gaining access to a whole new world of information and enhanced knowledge. I trust that Aceves will be perfect for this Superintendent position.
My vote goes to Larry Aceves. His more than 30 years of experience in different jobs relating to education (teacher, principal..etc.) keeps me calm because he has been through most branches of our educational system. This experience asserts the fact that he knows where the California educational system needs to put more emphasis in. Through knowing that, I know that he will tackle our high drop out rates efficiently to increase the number of students that graduate from college and move on to pursue a four year degree.
One of my recent concerns with education in California has been the disproportionate amount of money given to schools. Larry Aceves wants to give every school equal resources so that every student has the same opportunity to succeed. He does not want two classes of students, and that is a solution that I passionately support. I firmly believe that he is qualified to be superintendent and will give him my vote on June 8, 2010.
I would vote for Larry Aceves just because I know he has experience. From the blog, I realize that he leads all the candidates in experience and that is something important when being the superintendent and has my support. Also I can see that he is involved in education, which shows me that he cares for the future and right now all we can focus on is the future, and to fix our economy. Realizing this has made me see Aceves as the perfect candidate for the job, and I know he will take action in having more success in our education and less students not finishing school which will lead to more educated citizens in our society. I believe his plans for school and society are well planned which helps the voters see that he could be trusted.
After a careful review of each candidate's position on education, I am clearly convinved that Aceves fits the position the best all around. He believes that the most important issues are, increase equitable school funding, reduce mandates on educators, provide moderate instructional materials, ensure accountability, and enhance career technical education. These issues coincide with the most important issues i believe need to be addressed in todays society. I am convinced that he has a very good reputation, a supportive group of endorsements, and the experience that i am looking for in candidates. he has received support from the Mexican American Association, therefore, i believe he is the right person for the job.
I voted for Larry Aceves. Aceves has thirty years of experience as a principal. He has reduce mandates. Also he has sought to blame teachers for student's failures. This is important for the State Superintendent of Public instruction.
For the Ca. Superintendent I would vote for Larry Aceves. I would vote for him because he has a lot of experience in the edcation field. His policies for education to seem very reasonable and to me they seem probable, just for the fact that we have the same mind set and approach when it comes to education. This stems from his policies for funding more educators and rural schools. I also feel that he has endorsements supporting him that makes him an effective candidate. If he has this much support behind him, to me this means he has been doing an outstanding job meeting all expectations.
I would have voted for Larry Aveces because he has 30 years of experience as a school principal. He knows how education in works since he obviously worked with actual kids. The way that he approaches education seems to be effective, Thats why i would place my vote for Mr. Aveces.
Larry Acevez is the best candidate for California’s State Superintendent. All three candidates promise to improve the state’s education system, but Acevez stands out because of his experience. Having this experience and actually being productive while being in various positions in the education system. He knows how things are run and he knows what needs to get done. I also like the specific areas he focuses on when talking about education. He wants to focus on the students and make sure teachers are held accountable for their teaching. Students can only go so far if they have inadequate teachers. And so if I could vote, I would vote for Larry Acevez.
I would vote for Larry Aceves for the California Superintendent of Public Instruction. He is the only candidate with at least 30 years of experience as he has been a teacher and a superintendent. With his experience in working with schools, I trust that he knows how to make the right decisions for the schools in California. Aceves also seems like a recognized official, as he is supported by other superintendents and he has received money for his campaign. He has helped establish free medical clinics, educational programs, community centers, and development centers which have all proved beneficial in our counties. And with that, my vote would go to Larry Aceves.
I really like Larry Aceves ideas for education. To begin with, I really like his idea about offering real-world experiences and reducing the mandates teachers have to fulfill so that the teachers can instead focus on whether their students are learning the content. Sometimes I feel that we are taught things in school that we will not put to use in the future and therefore, they are pointless. I have also realized now that I am about to graduate from high school, that we do learn a lot in school but it is hard to choose the career we want to pursue because we lack those real life experiences.
Giovanni Dia- I liked how Jack O'Conell talked about how we should improve the oublic school sysytem and how important it is to increase the productivity. And how all students should be given the same opportunities. Thta it is possible for a better way to manage that coexistense. My support would go to him better future with the theologies of school he has.
I would vote for Larry Aceves because he is a man of experience in education. He has over 30 years of experience mostly working from being a teacher to a principal in schools. Larry knows a lot about education specially in California where it seems he's been working north and south of this state. I would vote for him because he will help the education in California. Seeing the amount of endorsements Larry had blew me away. This gave me confidence in him knowing that a lot of people really trust him as well. I am confident knowing of his experience and his dedication in funding for schools. My vote is for Larry Aceves for his experience and his potential in impacting California.
I would vote for Larry Aceves for Superintendent. He has over 30 years of experience as a teacher and administrator, and also has very novel ideas about how to fix the educational crisis that we are facing with budget cuts and loss of teachers to unemployment. He has a solution that includes rewarding top performing schools, as well as schools that service low income students. He also has ideas about increasing funding for public university campuses in order to increase the amount of people enrolling there and to create more high paying jobs for teachers as well as administrators. I think he would be the most ideal candidate for those reasons.
I would vote for Larry Aceves because he believes in education and in changing the way schools work. I did my senior research paper on NCLB, worked at schools around SD, and tutored at my school and realized the huge gaps in educations that need to be filled. Aceves has been a student, teacher, mentor, tutor, principal, and superintendent. He knows all aspects of the story and I believe that he can change CA schools for the better, because I want my children to receive the best education possible.
I would vote for Larry Aceves because he is a firm believer in education, as am I. Also, his experience has proven more than enough to properly do the job. His plans to better vocational training is also important because not every can go to college, and in doing so, he can ensure a better future for others
I would vote for Larry Aveces in becoming California's State Superintendent of Public Instruction. The reason why I say this is because experience as a school principal(30 years). He has an upper hand in different situations that suddenly come up because he has already gone through it and knows what to do.
